Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these terms

By accessing notis.io or using the Notis AI data egress gateway and control plane (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. The Service

Notis provides a gateway and control plane that inspect and enforce policy on outbound AI/LLM traffic and produce an audit trail. The Service is currently offered as a private beta and may be changed, limited, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account, and you agree to provide accurate account information.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Violate any law or infringe the rights of others;
• Attempt to breach, probe, or disrupt the security or integrity of the Service;
• Use the Service to process data you are not authorized to process;
• Reverse engineer the Service except to the extent permitted by law, or resell it without our authorization.

5. Your data and content

You retain all rights to the data you submit to or route through the Service (“Customer Data”). You grant Notis a limited license to process Customer Data solely to provide, secure, and support the Service. You are responsible for having the rights and consents necessary to route your data and for complying with the terms of any AI provider you use.

6. Third-party services

The Service forwards traffic to the AI providers you designate. Those providers are third parties governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and Notis is not responsible for third-party services.

7. Beta and fees

During the beta, features may be provided free of charge, may be limited, and may change. Any pricing will be communicated to you before charges apply.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software and content (excluding Customer Data), is owned by Notis and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. No rights are granted to you except as expressly set out in these terms.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. Notis does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its detection and enforcement will identify or act on all sensitive data.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Notis will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, and its aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid to Notis in the 12 months before the claim (or US $100 if you paid nothing).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Notis harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for any violation of these terms or to protect the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Notis, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above, and your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
